I loved my old Dimage Z1 so dearly, that the Z6 was a logical choice for a compact ultra zoom when the time finally came to upgrade. But my new-in-the-box beauty was fraught with problems: It blew out every picture, had horrific color balance, obvious 8X8 subband noise, and its AF was hit-and-miss. So I called to return it, and in the process learned that Konica Minolta is no longer in the camera business! So if you see any too-good buys on KM's, well, now you know why.
This dragonfly was the best image I managed out of ~120 shots with the Z6: Even with all the Photoslop pw I could throw at it, it still bites.

And your damsel fly was sitting so still....too sad. I used and like my old Z20 a lot. Wonder what happened to the quality? Thanks for the info

Blimey! No more Konica Minolta - that's news to me. All my photos (so far) have been taken with a Z3 & the only problem I've got with it is a very slight purple cast with some images which can be fixed in Photoshop. Its a shame how badly this worked out for you (hope you did get it replaced/refunded). Your photo looked like it would have been a really cool capture of a colourful subject.

a new plan, then! it's acceptable this one, must be I'm not looking at a "baddie". Maybe it is better for ... ahem ... art ... that way?
