BIO
I spent 5 years working for a leading Park Ave, advertising firm. From there I moved on and I am currently a Telecommunications and Networking professional working on projects around the world. I get to do 3D for my job but not nearly as much as I'd like. Lightwave, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver are but a few apps in which I am proficient.

Excellent stuff. I can almost see it doing battle with the Alien Queen.

Yes there is a model out on 3Dcafe, And it was used as a template for this one, but that is where the similarity ends. This model is a multi layer object consisting of seperate objects in 8 different layers, The joints are seperate objects and are boned to allow fill animation of the figure, Also not visible from the front are the hydraulics that are modeled to all of the actuating pistons, This moddel is completely UV mapped and has a dozen maps applied. As my whitestar was created using a tutorial out on the web, this was created uaing another as a template, both wore modeled to copy the look of a object created already by the movie industry. Never claimed I dreamt up the object. So let me thank Christof, for a excellent template from which, to create my version.
