Sweet pic and the effects are sweet cant you simulate the same effect in the program as you did in Photoshop?....If you can it would set magical mood more I think,you know haveing the magic emminate? from the center instead of the outside?

The streaks, ball and glow effects were done within lightwave, Volumetric point light for the ball, this had a procedeural texture applied. Yhe streaks are done by giving the light lense flare qualities. THe glow applied bot to the eyes and nails were don by giving the nail and iris surfaces a 8 pixel glow with 100% on the nails and 10% tp the eyes, I also bumped up the luminosity on the fingernail surface. The only photoshop work done was to clean up the jaggies and holes in the Victoria mesh, The depth of blur was created in Lightwave using digital confussion.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, Foley, Even though all of the effect were done in lightwave, the streaks even in lightwave are processesed as a post processing image filter. This means that the image is rendered and then the effect is applied, If the light source is hidden by a object in the scene then the effect becomes much less visible, I actually has this problem in the first render and had to change the perspective in order to have the flare visible. Maybe I'll go back and hand paint some rays eminating from between the fingers to polish off the effect. As even in lightwave this is pretty much how you have to do it, But it really does not call for it and I hate revisiting an image once it is finished.
