Description

A quick note to say hi and to paint a photo picture in my own way. Hugs all! ******************* A shiver tingles through my warm body zipping down like a roller coaster ride causing fine hair to stand and ripple, a mexican wave on the curves of the skin. I shudder and scoot my nose further into the blanket but get yelled at by the alarm buzzing in my ear. I stretch my arm out and slap at the noisy machine then retract back into heat. My head appears from the duvet and I peer at the curtains. The darkness from beyond the glass mocks me, taunts and teases me. A muffled slamming of the bathroom door announces the children

Nice stream of consciousness. Two questions, though: what is a "Mexican wave," and is it really that cold in your Southern Hemisphere winter? Keep them coming, please -- Dick

A Mexican Wave is when you have a stadium of people and they stand up, in a ripple effect, and raise their arms briefly then sit back down as a group. The ripple continues around the stadium until it is their turn again to stand up. (Not sure if my explanation is clear?) And yes, it gets cold enough to snow in SA but not where I am in Margate. Here, to us, winter means putting a light jersey over your cotton T-shirt. But it still makes you want to snuggle in bed... LoL.

Living where seasons go spring/summer/fall/spring/summer/fall, you reminded me that there is a fourth season - one I had forgotten - when getting out of bed is AGONY! Very well painted picture, thanks for sharing :) Aztek (Lale)

Both works superb, but I prefer the actual story, it made me want to climb back under the sheets, as well a made me feel alive once up! Bravo!
