Description

G'day. This is from the top of Mt Donna Buang summit (1250m elevation)in the mountain clouds. I spent the day up there yesterday just andering around the bush! It was very peaceful with no pone else about!! Mt Donna Buang is approx 60km east of Melbourne in the south east yarra valley area. We havent any snow yet but it will come in the next month or so!! The Eucalyptus trees are a lot shorter up on the mountain tops and have magnificent coloured bark which falls off in Autumn each year to reveal the new clean skin underneath. There are several hundered species of Eucalyptus (gum) trees in Australia and they grow in every condition, the desert areas (very stunted and curley) up to the mountains (our tallest ones are over 100m high). There will be 4 or 5 in this series over the next few days!! Sorry i havent been online much laterly as ive been very sick!! cheers to y'all and thanks as always for any comments!! Louise.

First of all, hope You feeling better, if not yet, I wish You do soon! This forest in a fog is just stunning. So lovely moody, I feel pack up and go there and see it myself. I am looking forward to the rest of your pictures.

What a shot here Lou!! This is stunning and super crazy shot! I really love it tho.. Calm, Mysterious and misty :) Love a lot the texture of the wood and trees.. Reminds me in some part of the Amazone :) Superb.. And have a lovely day.
