Description
Everything has been said and written about the 1955 Chevrolet. I chose to do a 4-door version in Bel Air livery, plus a 2-door version of the 150, low-budget option for that year. Starting from the same 3dmodel and cutting/repositioning pillars and door seams.
Polymodeled in Max, rendered with VRay. Thanks for watching.
The 150 version can be seen at:

I had one almost identical to this. the only difference was the blue was darker. I loved that car and had lots of good times in it.lot's of drivein movie theaters and parking on lonely stretches of roads. impressive work and quality

Absolutely beautiful as always. Our sparce little comments, glowing though they be, are not nearly adequate for the amount of work you put into this. :-)

Thanks all for the comments. I have done a 210 -- intermediate model between the 150 and the Bel Air -- and rendered it in a composition. The result can be seen at http://www.palat.com.br/images/ch55/cena5.jpg

Let me just whisper these modelling hints. The Chevrolet V-8 was "oversquare" when first introduced in 1955. None of the corners of a car are at the "Max" of any orthonormal view. Now I can be very profound with those stumbling blocks out of he mind's eye. The steering wheel looks too large in diameter. Do you think this is from a magnification by the glass in the new for 1955 "wrap around" windshield? I have seen one of these wrapped around a tree from a Saturday night. It will be a while before Chevrolet deployed the "deep dish" steering wheel. Do you think that is where the jingle "Apple pie and Chevrolet" came from? I'm going to look at the 150 now. Careful, the firewalls have ears!
