Description

"I've never done anything like the Floats. They are probably the most monumental-looking, since there's no reminiscence of a container shape. Just because they are so big, the Floats are technically, or let's say physically, the most difficult things that we have ever done. Even though a sphere or a ball is about the easiest form you can make in glass, when you get to this scale, up to forty inches in diameter, it becomes extremely difficult." -Dale Chihuly

Digimon (Eric) said he loves it when there are more balls because more ball are more fun (heheheh), sooooo.... There was certain AC/DC song I was toying with posting the lyrics too, but I decided to be a good boy and went with a quote from the artist himself. This still doesn't capture every float in the pond, but it was the best of my wide angle shots. I also went with a wider than usual file size for this one, so if you are only seeing it at 700 pixels wide, be sure to click on the "zoom in" option. ----- Thanks for your ballzy comments on my last upload, Globular Floaters.

He's got big balls! She's got big balls!! But WE got the biggest balls of them all!!!! Hehe, superb shot, my own little lagoon, filled with colorful balls! You spoil me Kort! ; ) Thanks for the dedi! I wasn't sure if I had taken the balls thing too far? As a side note: Hayseed Dixie does a LMAO version of the AC/DC song, which ends with one of the band members doing a Bevis and Butthead imitation.."Heheh, he said balls!". Thanks again man! You made my day!!

Tried to post a comment on Monday for "Bubblegum Bauble," but RR was being difficult. These are beautiful bits of modern art and you have captured them with your usual excellence. Now for the weirdness: They remind me of the giant bouncing balls that would chase Number 6 when he tried to escape in "The Prisoner" TV show.

These balls are so incredible I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. I wonder how much the artist charges for them. Thanks for the bit from the artist. Great photo.
