Description

One of the things I used to do with my children is to give them paper and crayons and we had to do portraits of each other with our eyes closed. We we had the funniest faces and the grandest times. Then I started doing it on the computer. NOT so easy! This was done in MS Paint with the mouse. Given the width of the mouse and the small area on the pad I improvised. Once the intital oval for the face was done, I would then open my eyes and find the point of the ball. Putting my fingers down onto the pad and drawing around them (with my eyes closed) I was able to come up with a pretty decent portrait. This guy has some pretty wild hairs going on! "The Post Work" done by my daughter Katie, while I was washing dishes she thought he needed eye lashes, more eye brows and a trim on his mustache.LOL! In her zeal to "surprise" me, she cropped (cutting off the top and sides of his head)and copied him to a new window and closed the original without saving. My post work, bringing him over to Photo Shop and framing. I do hope you enjoy, this really is a fun exercise, but then for most of you, you've done this in art class already! : ) ~~~ Have a wonderful weekend~~~

An exercise in Art School, eh? They do something similar in Film Critic and Art Critic Schools as I recall--to wit, review films or other visual works of art with their eyes closed. Gotta a be a match there somewhere....(good stuff--harder than it looks)

I find MS Paint to be the cause of many people giving up Art on the computer. I would not attempt this with anything less than Paintshop. Multiple drawing tools, sizes and shapes. ;) Superbly done when considering the tool used! Bravo!

As per Hopalong, it sounds just like an Art Critics School.. "Ok class.. Today we will criticize the artwork I'll be displaying, with our eyes shut of course." They operate right next store to the Music Critcs School that criticize music using deaf people. This pic above looks like "Gallager", one of my fave comedians (the sledge-a-matic?). It slices and dices but you gotta hit those suckers just right...lol. So.. Jersey huh? I don't remember ever using the word 'shore' for 'beach'???? Anyway, fun pic here. Best to you Michele. P.s. Yes, I did play chess (alot).
