I have just recently discovered my love of photography. I've been taking pictures for years, but it wasn't until the last year or so that I truly began to understand how much I love doing this. I have been so inspired by friends who are photographers, my husband among them. I've always had a strong creative urge, but I've never really found the right vehicle for that urge. The thing that I realized is that I have finally found a way to show the world how I see it.BIOI am a graduate student at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. I will complete my master's degree in 2007 and my PhD in 2010. My focus is on spirituality in creative expression, the psychology of death and grieving and the ways in which a sprititual path can lead to integrative wholeness.

WOW!! One of my favorite colours :) and what an interesting POV and focus we got here.. The flower's petals looks very sharp and crisp and ain't the 20D is an awesome lens! :) Thank you so much for the post.. Also i would love to thank you for adding me to your favorite artist list.. But.. I don't work and or submit to God's Art or Met Arts Russia.. I have a lot of connections there as well as many friends. (MODELS) two cousins (FEMALES) one of them in my gallery and her name is ALINA.. She is a soft/dark glamour'e MODEL. And Natasha just a DARK Model :) Alina's Shots called: Dark-Glamoure' and Saddness if you are interested.. And that shot Our-Pleasure are two friends working for MET-ART Russia.. And that was a requested portrait :) They come and visit me a lot tho heheh.. Now you are on my favorite artists list as well.. Cause i am liking your work.. Thank you and have a lovely day.. ((JOE))

Thank you both for the wonderfully encouraging comments :D Joe...oh, I misunderstood in your message to me. In any case, your work is stunning, and its God's Art, anyway :) I saw your portraits, they're stunning. I'd like to get into portrait work someday. And yes, the 20D is an awesome camera. I can't wait till I have the resources to buy more lenses (the 70-300mm telephoto image stabilizing zoon is on the top of my list). I'd like to have a fish eye lens someday, too :D

How the heck did you do that? Looks like the most shallow depth ever, lol. The 20D sure seems to be a great camera, and that lens you want also sounds like a great one. I have a 70-300...unfortunatly without stabilizing zoom, but it still works okay. And thats the cheap Sigma by the way. Bla bla. Have a great rest of your weekend!!!! #:O)

It was a yoga moment. I leaned very far over the flower, trying very hard not to get my own shadow in the way, and took the shot. I was zoomed in as far as the lens would let me and still be focused. I think the 20D was the best purchase I have ever made. I compared to Nikon, and it really seems like cannon was the better camera. Before the 20D I had a fuji cool pix, which was decent, but more of a point and shoot than anything. I can't wait for that lens!!! It keeps coming down in price, too. So hopefully in a few months. I've gone to the beach so many times, and missed opportunities for really good shots because my 55mm just doesn't have the range I need. Ty ty for the comments, guys. The more I do this, the more I realize how much I really love it. Wish I had realized this years ago!
