Description

My son received a toy for his birthday that allows the child to build various shapes with these little light sticks. You then plug the base of it in to a little battery pack, and the whole thing lights up. My son is very creative. He is always making me things from his toys, be that legos, game pieces, and now, this. So I took the creation and put it on my desk. After a few days of it sitting next to my monitor, I realized that my desk is black! Not only is it black, but it is enclosed like an armoire, with black walls! So I moved my monitor, my books, and my various clutter, turned all the lights off, and had *a lot* of fun. Kyle (my son) is contributing to my photography so often these days. I can't wait to upload the shot I took last weekend from one of our board games. I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and not melting in the sun too much. Its still hotter than the sun here. I think we need scuba gear to spend time outside. :)

This is really a cool image. Playing with lights, that is what photography is all about. It is also great that you are incorporating your son into this fun hobby/profession. Awsome work. One more thing, You are done photographing the toy, so give it back to the kid now :) Just kidding ofcourse.
