Reminds me of that movie "Quest For Fire" (which I loved)... this does definitely connote the man/ape connection, to me anyway....or like barticus said, quite possibly Yggdrasil??? lots of interpretations are flowing in my mind even at this ungodly hour...most excellent hewsan !

Appreciate the comments! And visitorX, wish I had of thought of that - is a much better title - uh huhhh. And barticus and Nekhbetsun, had heard or read of the legend of the world tree (yggdrasil), and it was all but lost in my mental clutter, may well have influenced this, and even if not... will definitely be something I'm going to think on for a future work. Excellent image. I love the color palette. I think I recognize somebody in that tree...one of my ancestors. I particularly like the little guy near the top of the treee. Think that's where I would be, getting a better view of the lay of the land, in case someone else got there first.
