Incredible! The concept and the photo. It's a fabulous idea for those of us in the US who celebrate the 4th of July, but it's a wonderful shot in general.

I know what ya mean about our freedoms being a page torn from history. The founding rebels had a lot to complain about and they did something about it. Today, we have even more serious grievances but few will even bother to issue a weak whimper. Guess so long as the majority have their television, beer, and sports they'll never complain ... well maybe when the jackboots stop at their door. But then it'll be too late. Happy fourth anyway. Cool photo.

A little laugh now, funny how you chose to post this image to the title. One of the clock's shows 5 minuts after my time! The one on the top number 2 from the right side! Why I thought this where funny, because I got to use my brain a bit, trying to find out if one of the clock's showed my time! It is a wonderful picture you've taken! And happy 4th of July!

My first thought when I saw this huge amount of old clock was, I wouldn't want to be there when it is a full or a half an hour!!! Every one has a different tune and quite loud, when they start it is hell!!LOL My parents had one and when I came as an adult for a visite I had sometime to sleep on the couch, so I know I slept only 15 min. in a row, because that clock had also a tune for all quarter an hour!!!LOL Excellent captured Richard, thanks for sharing!!! Happy 4th of July for all who celebrate it!!!Hugs Ute

Excellent tribute. I agree that many of our freedoms are a thing of the past. It is enough to make one just a little paranoid. By the way, I never know what time it is....these clocks look like clocks in our house, all set for different times. lol. Excellent work!!! Have a happy and safe 4th of July !!!

Inside a broken clock time survives...

It is amazing how the sundial gained gears and the pendulum wrapped up as a spring all to refresh the water clock which needed no winding but lost track with each refill. Rain and darkness hide a dizziness that magnets cannot orient or dip. After all the shift in the mine knows full well which way is El Kapitan!
