This wonderful picture reminds me of the house of friends ,the husbands hobby is collecting old clocks and every space in that house is filled with them ,no wonder he worked all his life as a watchmaker and bought them cheap or in exchange for digital clocks that needed no looking after .His wife threatened to leave him because she could`nt stand the noise any longer ,so now the only clock that rings is their alarm clock ,digital of course :)

Does anyone REALLY know what time it is? Lynyrd Skynyrd aside, great great grandfather's measurement of time was not geographically homogeneous. Homogeneity was imposed very stealthily by the railroads. Here one of the central enlightenments of the Italians in regard to making the trains run on time, to wit: adjust the station clock to the printed schedule when the train arrives....

This is surely a great collection. I wonder which one you like the best, hard to choose. If they were all wound up there would be constant noise. Great capture.
