Just playing around with Bryce a bit. Wish I knew how to add a flame effect to make it look more like the sinking vehicle was shot down.

Many spheres, differnt sizes, with a flame texture will do that, also cloud spheres for smoke, maybe pull the attacking craft up a bit,and away...and you could{or not} lose the terrains...good action shot!

Agree with yardrobe. Try some spheres. Even if it just smoke you will get the idea that it's damaged and is sinking. Maybe even try some bubbles rising to the surface around it. I would also lose the terrains and maybe have the flying craft more to the foreground past the sinking ship to give the feeling that it shot the sinking ship. Just my 2c worth. Very cool render despite any suggestions. Everyone sees things differently. Nice one!!!!

Thanks for the tips. When I get a chance today I will play around with flame and smoke textured spheres. What is the best way to mimick bubbles rising to the surface in Bryce?

Look for a personn called Menno either here, or on 3d Commune. Has some really good fire mats..

A good fire mat is called Bruno's Fire, it is volumetric so you can adjust it's attributes. I seem to recall getting it as a freebie on eiter Squid or 3d World. Anyway nice effect with the canyon walls, they really appear massive.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll check out those fire mats as soon as I can.

I love to hear GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM from Barry Levinson voice. Really good inspiration.
