Description
Well there goes one lifelong ambition, to see the Saturn 5 close up. I was not disapointed.
If I had my way I'd have just loitered about this amazing machine for hours, gawking at it in awe.
Alas the torrential rain was not far away, and I was starting to fall out with my daughter who was getting impatient.
Five year olds just don't get it eh? Perhaps after all the theme park rides (Tower of terror was not pretty) she suspected us of sitting her on top of a rocket and saying "No its not scary, go on, just hold on tight!"
Unlike Redchilicat, I missed the launch ...DOH!
I'm off to check "Heavens Above" to see if I can see the ISS tonight, the shuttle's there now.

Awesome shots of these rockets...alas it's about as close as I will probably ever get...I agree with your story about your daughter, 5 yr. olds just don't get it unless it fires off or you can ride it! Aloha!
