Description
This came about from comments on a previous image called "State of Confusion" where viewers added other "states". Thanks to those who did. So, I came up with some more and found some while searching the net. Reminds me of a George Carlin monologue and his brilliant play on words.
Most permanent bases in a war zone will have these posts with hometowns and the mileage posted. Vietnam had them, I'm sure there are some in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was going to add "State of the Union" but that helped get the US into this most current war and it wasn't very funny.

I think, in a million years from now, when aliens are digging through our planet's charred remains, they'll happen across some database containing the complete works of frogdot and know that an artistic genius once lived here...oh yeah, and that frogdot wasn't too shabby either. Nicely done! Kind of reminds me of the old "family name" signs up at the lake, which people used to nail to trees and posts where the roads around the lake branched. The only sign missing is the one that says "Home". :-) (The "State of Consciousness" sign is the best, btw. :-) )
