Description

Hello all!! Taken a few days ago . My first dragonfly!! yeaaa ! ( I have one that looks like a little like one in black and white in my gallery called wings in light but thats actually a moth of some sort ) So this little red guy with an attitude (LOL) was my first dragonfly here and so, I did my best to get a macro of him. This is cropped just barly . I was that close ( I was two -three inches away ). Problem was it was quite windy and the leaf was blowing and he was riding that leaf and holding on determined ! THe little red guy seemed to stare at me curiously and intently !! lol... SO , to try and keep him and the leaf he was on still (so I could begin to focus on the macro ) I held on to the swaying leaf he was on and then tryed to shoot with my other hand (which I discovered is quite hard - doing a macro to hold the came with one hand and steady it without a trypod on a windy day haha ) without scaring him away . I think his wings were moving in the shot though so couldnt get them like I had wanted. SO this was the best I could do for the first time . I took a few other shots from above looking down on the wings and backside that was perfectly focused and clear but like this angle from a lower profile position better..!! Taken with my little nikon 7900 pocket cam that really does goes with me everywhere in my pocket lol!! hope its ok...for a first try at one anyways... Thanks for all your time and comments! Love to you all! ((( Big hugs ))) ♥ ~ Kimmers ! :O) ! :O)

Good job!!! This is great Kimmers! Way to go!!! LOL I can SO relate to the troubles we sometimes must go thru to get a shot like this -- holding that blade still was excellent, and you managed to get him in very nice focus. Lets see more!!!! :)))) *****!!!
