Hello all!!
This was taken about a mile down the road from my home ( across the road from my girls school ). I sometimes buy my produce here - so tiny little farm that had just one single big bright sunflower growing that drew me to it..I LOVE sunflowers so much and so asked if I could go shoot it after I bought some potatoes and peaches , and the young girl working her parents stand gave kindly gave me permission to go ahead on thier property ( that had a traditional farm look with red barns and old tractors!) I had to climb up a muddy hill and get my new shoes dirty lol but didn't mind as I loved how cheerful it was there towering proudly over all the sqaush plants!
This one is dedicated to a real talented photographer on here Michel ( Gimi53) to say Happy birthday!! sorry its a day late here- but better late than never they say ( who ever they are hehe)) ...hoping you had a wonderful birthday and many well wishes for a year of happiness and many great photoshoots - that I will look forward to seeing as you are so gifted in the art !! )
Thought this sunflower was a cheerful thing to put up for Birthday wishes .
Did some of my smudge painting for an out of the frame look as i was going for a 3-D look and feel . ( LOL Had to do this postwork twice cause the first time I did it my computer crashed only sec before I completely finished it !!).
PLEASEEE ( pretty please with sugar on top - lol or sunflower seeds? haha) look at the larger size lol cause I feel the smaller size dosn't do it justice -!!!

really jumps of the page with your post work. very beautiful flower. there are many across the street from my area but I never go to take their picture. I am prejudice I lnow. I prefer roses and others. I get itchy when I get near sunflowers

What a delightful photo of a full blown sunflower, such detail and presentation,especially in the full size version. And your birthday wish is special my friend. Did you ever hear Mason Williams' "Sunflower" music and read the description? You can graphically visualize the event when you listen.
