Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

This looks like dangerous stuff! Looks like a selective colouring - done by nature!

That IS an adrenalin charger! I can only imagine what it must be like in that heat, not know for sure if you were about to step on just a thin crust of rock with molten lava flowing below. Brave photography!
Richardphotos
you must ruin many boots out there walking on lava. it is a rush for me. the sulfur smell must be very strong

Wow Errol, this is a very impressive shot. I can see why you have been tired lately. Glad I didn't go with you this trip. Never know when the lava will "attack" you. Aloha

Wow! I think I would err on the side of safety too! Lori and I were recently at some old lava fields here in Oregon, so it gave me some sense of the scope and drama you captured here. I'm sure glad our volcanoes are extinct (for the most part). Be careful out there!
