Description
G'day.
This was further into the trip (last saturday) relating to yesterdays Black Spur upload) and this is taken on Little River Road at a place called the catherderal ranges (approx 120km) north west of Melbourne. This is fairly high up in elevation and the eucalyptus (gum) trees get alot smaller (these one are around 10m - 20m high) and more stunted (different species than in yesterdays upload).
There are over 800 species of Eucalyptus trees in Australia.
I love autumn and winter time here because the gum trees shed their bark and leave white/yellow coloured skins and the colours here were intense due to the mornings rain and the sun had just started to come out when i took this shot!! It is a very narrow and muddy road and my car was filthy from the drive.
My kids have been "pimping my ride" by finger painting dirt pin stripes on my car (looks cool) LOL.
More shots will come over the next few days of the mountains and rivers !!
Tripod and self timer exposure as always!!
Enjoy
Lou
