BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

Real great shot on this one!!

Beautiful capture. The slow shutter speed makes that water look painted in.

Wonderful shot, the tees between High Force and low force has some great rapids for those kayakers amongst us :) (paddled it a few times myself).

I can alomst hear the roar of the rushing water. Great shot!

Wow, I can see the amazing power, almost hear the low-frequency rumble. I know that the waterfall is at least three times the size it seems to be in the photo and can, to some extent, gage the height you were at. Be careful - it's easy to get carried away (literally!). Wonderful shot, tho, with perfect exposure. It looks like recent rains have tinged the water with silt. Gorgeous clouds too, a beautiful photograph!

Interesting how the water appears to shoot up over the rocks. Lot's of energy there. Bet it's loud too. Love it!

murky! must be a slow shutter to show so much blur. looks kind of foreboding with the clouds.

What an amazing capture.

Think this is the first image of yours I have viewed - and what a great way to start. Hugely dynamic if lacking a little in sharpness (viewed at full, rocks / background). Well worth the risk involved though & I would have been proud to take this myself. Congrats!
