Description
Here is another photo from the Bays Mountain area. The park is owned by the city of Kingsport TN. The lake here is a 44 acre lake. The dam was constructed in 1917, and was the city's reservoir until 1944. I hope you enjoy this photo and thank you so very much for your comments and taking time to look. :)

The use of buttressed stone steps make a really scenic structure - unlike so many dams, particularly the earthern type. Quite a lot of work for so small a lake, but a beautiful scene none the less. Wonderful photo!
