Description

The series: Some friends and I went to De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust a while back - what an experience! There were so many beautiful animals there - cheetas, wild dogs, caracals etc. Hopefully these pictures will relate just a little bit of the beauty that we experienced. This shot: Caracal(Felis Caracal). Or refered to, here in SA as a "Rooikat". It's NOT a lynx although they are sometimes referred to as desert lynx. Anyway, enough science talk for today. These guys were SO adorable! They look just like housecats, 'cept for the black tufts on their ears. I thought this looked so cute - like the one in front is being tickled! :) They were grooming and smooching each other - all lovey dovey! :) Image is Copyright (c) J. Marx.
