Description

Time for some of my older images. Taken some time back at Walter Sisulu botanical gardens. Before this visit, I had no idea that there there was such beauty so close to where I stay! We spent the entire morning there, just snapping pictures left, right and centre. I had a ball of a time! I want to go back there though, because I don't think we saw HALF of what there is to see. If you live in South Africa or you are planning a trip out here, you have GOT to see this place, it's amazing! I called this image "Contrast" because of the stark difference between the soft, white water and the hard, jagged, black rocks. Still using two Tiffen polariser filters to block out the brighter light and allow me to push the shutter speed down and get the soft water effect. Thanks for taking a peek and for any comments and feedback that you guys leave - I really appreciate it. I did some minor contrast/color adjustments in PhotoshopCS and Picasa 2.0

Very nice image and aptly titled! The softness of the water against the sharp hardness of the rocks really does show the "contrast" between the two, as does the white of the water and the black of the rock.
