Description
After seeing so many artists make astonishing images in Terragen (not TG2) by placing images of real clouds in their TG renders, I decided to try my hand at it too and contribute. Terrain is a 4097 (didn't check the render time...let it render while I was sleeping). I took the picture along the Atlantic coast of Kiawah Island, SC one August morning last year (was on vacation with the family and went out at the crack of dawn to shoot...lots of good pictures to choose from). Picture taken with a Konica-Minolta DIMAGE Z2 on manual setting at 1/50 shutter speed and with the aperture closed all the way.
Feel free to comment and/or critique, as I'm just starting in this new (and quite fun) realm of TG/real-world artwork. The tops of the hills look a little blurry, but that's intentional to add to the haze. Thanks for viewing, and have a nice day.

Great sky shot! Nice job adding the reflection in the water...well done!

actually, the reflection was just pure luck and patience. i had already picked out the picture i wanted, so i fumbled around with the TG cloud settings until i got something that would look similar to the cloud in the picture

Cool work on clouds and reflection! With a bit more work on the surface this could be a brilliant pic. :-)

Great job with the clouds and the reflection in the water, at best not an easy chore to get it to look right. Well done!!

i have to say firstly that this looks great!! - the one thing i will give critique on isnt about your image - its terragen's boring surface settings that i am becoming tired of - they are not random enough - and on a great image like this they let you down!! - i love your POV and the postwork with the clouds is superb!! - have you tried image overlays yet - i still dont know if they would work on these types of cliffs but i have to congrat you an an otherwise magnificent image!!!
