Hello all!!
WEll went yesterday and did a second photo shoot in Echo park ... lol now I have hundreds of images that I havnt even begun to look at and just have played with the first few. This image is from yesterday morning at around 7 am there were magical droplets on the pads and the lotutus flowrs had a glow that seemed surreal and unlike anything I had ever seen. Funny thing is I used to live across the right across street ( 1988-90
L.I.F.E. bible college) in the dorms and never noticed them . Uhm guess that time I was more into schoolwork and looking at the oppisite sex than flowers in the park !! LOL!!
I am completely absorbed and drawn in by the early morning light on these lotus flowers that light up like lanterns . I know now why monet was absorbed and facinated now with these at the end of his life and spent so much time working with them in his gardens and in composition.. The liles on the water in light are something so beautiful and spiritual that it can become hypnotic and mesmerising to see in person capturing it is indeed a wonderful expriance that changes the soul... for this image I punched up the light to show that effect in painted style.
This was taken with my nikon 7900 and heavily postworked with my smugde painting technique I do with a mouse. hope you like it and that i am not doing waterlilie over kill here haha..
I don't know what I like more the natural or painted look so I end put both up in my gallery lol. My love for photography and painting are equal I think ...
PLease FORGIVE me as I am WAY behind in comments now as I havnt had a minute between the long photo shoots , the three girls and the housework that piles up with everyone home all day as it is summer and all the friends end up comming to my house lol.. Just know my heart is in it I love seeing all the work on here morethan I can say .. Just hard to do it all..!! LOL then I spent WAY too much time playing with this one ..

yes this was a real shot .. post work was to take out the dust and smudge it to clarify it so the grain would be gone then saturate, contrast and clarify .... hehe well and frame too lol!

The early morning magic of nature shines through you image. I love the early morning just as the sun is peeking over the horizon and as it begins its climb. That is a time of miracles. It fills my heart with praise. I can tell your breath was suspended for a bit when you saw this, and I know the joy you felt being able to capture this miracle with your camera.
