Description

There are mountain people, sea people and air people. I am not a sea person because my imagination invents "things" that lurk beneath the waves. I am not an air person because I am scared of heights. I like mountains as long as I am not right at the top. I should have been born as a tree. But it was great to see this guy suddenly swoop up into the sky and drift like a vulture.

"Buds" right? I have never seen them do it manually like this! Must be tricky? Great shot, but I am with you! Here, safely on the ground!!!

Up up and away in my beautiful ....eh...paraglider.. Great shot. I tryed this a few years ago near the Tinto hills, I got to admit I'd love to do it again. The only dodgy bit was getting back to the ground slowly enough!

I've hunted those things lurking beneath the waves (often eating them), soared like an eagle (nearly wetting my pants), and scaled great mountains (did I already use wetting my pants?), but I've never done what these guys are doing. On a good day I might give it a try, but mostly I'll be happy watching. Cool shot, Rozanne!

Nice photo, Rozanne. I was tempted to do this years ago, rather than bungee jumping, when my younger colleagues wanted to do something for charity. Unfortunately they did not want to parachute either. I do not think my ankle would take it these days anyway.. I did dare my 16 year old daughter to go paragliding from a boat this summer, but she wasn't any fun at all!! I saw a lot of this offshore between Malaga and Marbella. Take care, John

Fortunately you're not born as a tree! We would never have known about Maureen (as far as I know trees don't publish, well, perhaps wooden websites LOL) and I've seen growing trees in the mountains on crazy precipices that would cause you a constant lack of water due to the loss of moisture while sweating not to drop down! ;) Funny capture, the elements seem pretty stubborn here!

Que dificil parece levantar al vuelo desde la playa... un viento fuerte tal vez ? De todas maneras un espectulo. En esa playa tuya hay de todo !
