Ultrafractal 4.03
A different zoom and VERY different coloring/texturing of an older one in my gallery called "Infinite Improbability Drive"( http://excalibur.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=589052 ). Still going for that ever elusive "painted" vibe and I still like this neat Doodads shape.
Edit - This piece was featured on the cover of IEEE Computer Applications and Graphics magazine in Nov. 2006 along with a 2-page article on me and my art - how cool is THAT? :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Oils on canvas perfect Rick excellent texture work

Way cool lighting - I really like the "feathered" blue in the background, and the "ray of light" that runs diagonally. To me it seems a little bit "left-heavy" but keeping the viewer "off balance" a bit might be a good thing!

wow! very cool! kinda reminds me of a sand paintung! interesting use of texture, nice man! :)

Beautiful abstract. The lighting and the colors enhance the textures in this. Very well done. Bunny

it is nearly something new and surely something nice. but i saw the original shining through at first sight. maybe because the "Infinite Improbability Drive" was one of the first images i got stuck with, when i joined renderosity.

This is painterly indeed! It looks like it was done with a palette knife on canvas :) I love the feathered reds and blues in the background, and the spotlight feeling in the center. :)

Definitely has a painted look. Great colors.
