Description

I would put the name here but can not spell it lol. But it one of the main ones in the middle of Lafayette and Baton Rouge. I had to crop it because of the guard rall of the longest bridge in the U.S. and second in the world. It 18.5 miles long. The clouds had a shadow over the swamp. What you see that look like land is not land so do not walk on it. You be under water. It stuff that grownds on top of the water. You can drive a boat thought it. This is on the wedding I went to today thanks for the comments

This was in a moveing car. I going to go back there and stop on the bridge and take photos. my son told me "no" for he say it danger because of the cars might hit me. We may rent a boat soon $45 a day

there is a lot of gators. I heard one guy was fishing and one try to climb into his boat with him. They not fun. I went crapping one time in a swamp farer south from here and a gator got between us and the boat. lol A man cam along and give the mating call of the gator and the gator went into the water and we run to the boat and left. lol. You can not caught craps here this is freash water swamp. I will get photos of salt water swamps one day soon

everytime i try and take a drive by shot i am not happy with it turned out pretty good for from the car !... bet theres lotsa crawfish in there.. ( just saw a special about how they trap them down there on the discovery channel ..)

I drove through this area and I was concerned about someone running off the bridge and be lunch for a gator namely me!! and west of Orleans on the back roads there is no shoulder only swamp. very unnerving. excellent work

That is a fascinating shot. I love that scope, you managed to catch a magnificent sky, and so much of it. What really gets me about this picture is that... my brain cannot stop picturing the growth atop the water as solid land. Looks like a beach where the water forgot to stop (lol) and it ran ashore in several places. This looks like something from a sci fi movie, almost. Like a land before time, or a time wayyyy after everybody has gone. Magnificent capture, jocko!
