Description

Boy, was I excited today when I finally got to capture a redtail in the wild. These guys are hard to catch!!! But today he was sitting right on this post by the side of the road & I stopped the car right next to him, rolled down the window and he stayed for around 3 shots before he took off, it really made my day!!!! hope you like it too!!!!!

Oh man Akemi, this is what everyone dreams of?? right by the side of the road and he let you take some shots??????? You must have had some very calming energy on this guy cause they are very skiddish in the wild!!!!!! I know lots of these wildlife shots here at RR are from a bird sanctuary and they are fairly used to humans, so CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS ONE!!!!!!!!! He's so handsome too!!!!!!

Oh, MAN!!! The best shot of a red-tail I've had is one on top of a telephone pole. Actually, there was a pair, but when I went for the camera, they took off. Amazing!!

Excellent sharpness. These birds are extremely skittish and very hard to photograph. Need a very long lens and the patience of Noah to capture one. Awsome shot
