I think this is great!! Thanks for the inspiration!! I have wanted to do the ghost thing too, but not sure where to start. Love the way you mixed the textures!! The black and white helps of course!!

I am sure that there are real memories in Carcassone, especially with its histoy of persecution of the Cathars, wasn't it? Re the collage, I just thought it was an imaginative, multiple over-exposure :o) No, seriously I quite like it. I captured an image, using my digital camera, from my son's digital broadcast box ( FREEVIEW ), of my mother-in-law caught on a recent TV programmme about house hunting. he was just a passing pedestrian, but instantly recognisable. I had taken a series of shots, using an optical zoom, and the one I worked on did not have the usual rainbow vertical stripes from the TV display. Although I did print a good, adjusted, cropped photo off from it, I then spent a few minutes messing about with filters and special effects, on SERIF PHOTOPLUS 10, until I had 'murdered' the original broadcast image, producing a nice balanced mosaic. One of those lucky accidents which I will probably use in a Christmas card or similar. Regards, John.
