Description
Another test in the years-long struggle to make my own Macross objects, for the modeling experience.
The Valkyrie is my first major model, and as a model from a newbie, it needs various smoothing and texture/bump fixes. But, hadn't posted in years; so...
Valkyrie and cockpit built in 3ds max. Rendered in max with a small understanding of the renderer, instead of Poser, hence the stiff appearance of the pilot.
Edit: Added a formation of Valkyries for my own edification. Guess the air *would* be a bit thin up there without a helmet...

Aw sweet Robotech! And you've done a great shot, close in showing the pilot, excellent high in the sky backround, inner cockpit detail, etc. Wonderfull! ^^

Congrats to you for your diligence on modeling your own objects. I love Macross and the Robotech series. You did a great job! You may want to model a helmet to put on the character: ) I also like the attention to detail on her uniform.

Congrats. The object looks fantastic. I am a huge macross fan. I love it, and love the suit again. I think a helmet would be in order. If you can that is. I love it, perhaps if you made the helmet for both space and standard flying that would make it wicked. Perhaps a section that can remove a mask and leave a visor like when Rick Hunter launches off the SDF-1 in the intro. That would be stellar. Just trying to help.
