Description

"Well i remember I remember dont worry How could i ever forget Its the first time The last time We ever met But i know the reason why you keep me silenced up No you dont fool me Cause the hurt doesnt show But the pain still grows Its no stranger to you and me I can feel it Coming in the air tonight" ~ select lyrics from In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins

I got my pogo stick fixed and went back for a few more photo attempts. Here is one of them. And yes, down here in Florida we have rainbow colored water. ;^] If you are old enough, cast you mind back to the glory days of the 80's and imagine you can hear Jan Hammer's Miami Vice theme song playing in the background. Yes, this is West Palm Beach, but it is a straight shot up the intercoastal waterway from Miami. Okay, okay, I really wasn't on a pogo stick. The color variations in the water are from the polarizing effect of the airline window I was shooting through. The initial photos were rather flat because of this and from all that humid atmosphere in between the ground and I, so I had to add a bit more contrast and color in Photoshop. Again, this photo is best viewed at full size for maximum detail. ----- Thank you for your ornamental comments on my last upload, West Palm Beach From The Air.

Thanks, I really enjoyed your capture of the allure West Palm Beach, Florida has when entering the city. It has been some time since I have been there but your picture truly brought back the memories. : ))

*"Q. Why did you decide to use LEGO bricks to make your video? First, I was always a big fan of LEGO, and I grew up playing with little bricks.*When I listened to the [White Stripes] music, I thought it had some very basic

qualities very simple, like original punk music.

Plus they had this vision which they always use on their covers

of using only black and red and white. I don't know why I thought of LEGO;

maybe it was a punk quality in the music.

I remember the original punk [album] covers. They were very basic, like the Sex Pistols,

their [album] cover was very graphic and kind of plain in a way.

I thought with LEGO [bricks] I could express this aspect better. Also, I really like mathematical and abstract concepts and ideas,

and I think this has a lot to do with playing with LEGO [bricks]...." (Michel Gondry) [http://club.lego.com/eng/newsandfeatures/showfeature.asp?contentid=490]

Rainbow, indeed! This is one of the better aerial panoramas I've seen lately. The detail is so crisp, I had assumed you were in a helicopter or small private aircraft. I've never been able to get a shot from a commercial airliner window which didn't look as though my lens had been smeared with Vaseline. Kudos!

It has almost the qualities of a rather large oil spill, damn' polarising cheap windows ! is that the Godfather's hole in the wall in the bottom right corner ? You should try playing GTA Vice City...good fun ! Cheers

Excellent sharp detail, especially from a bouncing pogo stick, or even an aircraft! A fast shutter speed would do it. Good composition also. You do masterful work, whether high in the sky or in the Amazon rain forests.
