Description

I liked the mud but I wasn't too happy with the rest of it. I could do with a better quality wide angle lens for landscapes.

Normally the balance of sky and ground would be considered "out of balance". For me, it is not that way because the color and overall scene make this shot work, quite well. Thanks.

Beautiful photo! I like the mud too, but also the orange/pinkish glow in the horizon. I dont think it would look any better with a greater wide-angle....had you had clouds...perhaps. But it would squash your mountains even more so for this shot i think you had a perfect lens strapped on. #:O)

I presume you are talking about the kit lens (18-55mm)? I actually think it's quite good (very good for the price!). Thank you for your comment on my image "Peace", taken on my yearly pilgrimage to the Lake District. You are lucky to live near there. I've played golf at Silloth a couple of times & love the place, though I have never seen it like this! For info I use 17-40L which is 6 times the price but definitely not 6 times better. I see nothing wrong with this photo, other than, as Andreas suggests, it could use some clouds. What am I saying? You get a perfect evening in the Lakes and we are complaining about it???!! Are we mad??!!
