Description

Just thought I would jump on the band wagon of lake/river and tree reflections with this shot I took some months ago at the beautiful Los Angeles Botanic Garden in beautiful Arcadia, California. Those are the San Gabriel Mountains in the background.

I think it is a very nice capture, however the branches of the palm trees are a bit to white in my opinion.

Excellent POV to hide the HollyWood sign that way! This is a real beautiful place!!!

Lydia1995: The whiteness of the branches is something you'll have to discuss with Mother Nature. In fact, they're extremely white when viewed up close. Thelby: Sorry, but that section of the San Gabriel Mountains is nowhere near the famous and storied Hollywood Sign.

Hmmm...i dont think the branches look too white at all. Infact i think its exposed perfectly. The colors and the reflection are amazing! I love it. Although...lol....would i be a nag if i said it could use a slight rotation clockwise to become level? #;o) Anyhooo....great job! Have a terrific weekend! #:O)

Zacko: Sorry, assuming you're serious, the photo is level and does not need rotating. Just look at the water and tree trunks. Alas, everyone is so picky this morning!

I was impressed first by the awesome sunshine. It's something you quickly learn to appreciate if you're from the rainy Pacific Northwest. I suspect that the branches are sun bleached, hence the whiteness. Lovely view - what a vacation spot! Really nice reflections in the water.

Ah! I knew I recognized that from the thumb. The Arboretum! My dad would take us there when we were kids for a cheap day out. Beautiful, and for me nostalgic, shot.
