Description

I was going to explain this photo but Brenda had a great idea: she said I should Let You Guess! Sooo, let's hear it folks! What do you think this is? I'll tell you that it's a photograph that, other than the frame, has been altered in no way. Sorry, there no prizes for winning other than bragging rights (I'm a starving artist . . . overweight but starving nonetheless. lol!). Okay! Here's the skinny: About a week ago we were coming out of the local grocery store when I saw where someone had spilled a bunch of M&Ms (or something Very similar)on the asphalt in the parking lot. Each time we went to the store I checked the progress of their decay but it found it to be very little. Mostly, they just got flatter, surviving traffic, rain, heat, insects, and whatever else might disperse them. Then last Friday I happened to have the camera with me and so . . . Thank you for your comments & guesses and for looking! Ken

I think it's some sidewalk anywhere, but I'm not sure. Definitely it looks amazing and really interesting. Excellent shot and presentation, Ken!!! :)

With the cracked area, you can see that it is a pavement/walkway/wall of some kind. Like Connie, it looks like broken tile pieces laid out in a hap=hazzard mosaic...almost as though the pieces were thrown on the ground and people walked on them, crushing them unfoot. It looks very old whatever it is. Funny...like Connie says...if you squint, you can see....:)

So I got grandkids and having them I get similar stuff on the back patio. Open a pack of mixed sour candies or M&Ms and then instead of picking them up you play on them until they are smashed real good. Then you walk away and figure Grams will come out with the hose later and wash it and the ates away... LOL

I don't think the M$M idea is correct for a few reasons. Mostly - the green and black are wrong. Also the pattern of the black in the upper left corner looks to me like this is a masaic done in a sidewalk. At first I thought it was very old and worn because the pattern is incomplete, but the colored grout looks like more modern stuff, so I think this is a sidewalk made to look like an old mosaic in front of a mall or building where there is lots of traffic because of the wear. But I don't think its hundreds of years old, maybe only 10 or 20.
