Description

Apo>Flam3>PSP Hello! I was saddened by the news today of the passing of Authur Lee, founder of the band LOVE. It's certain to say, his words and music made a profound impact on my life and art...attempting to translate the psychedelic sounds into pictures, his music has provided a wealth of inspiration. So this is for him, a scroll construction merging and adding to, two smaller collages, putting my final touches on it today. It seemed to work as my tribute. Thanks for taking a look, Chris ALONE AGAIN OR video link, live with strings and brass...perfect!...(even brought a few tears to my eyes) Some bits from FOREVER CHANGES>1967 I've never really looked at it in this way but some of the things I was reading today suggested that it might have been a musical response to Sgt. Pepper's. Interesting. Song: You Set The Scene (a few selected lyrics) (1) This is the time and life that I am living And I'll face each day with a smile For the time that I've been given's such a little while And the things that I must do consist of more than style (2) Everything I've seen needs rearranging And for anyone who thinks it's strange Then you should be the first to want to make this change And for everyone who thinks that life is just a game Do you like the part you're playing? (3)This is the time and this is the time and It is time, time, time, time, time, time, time, time, time... Rest in peace, Authur Lee. LOVE! Speaking of, facing each day with a smile...I made this silly self portrait this week in the maddness of the heat wave, you can laugh...I've never shown my mug....It's very "myspace" http://img171.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shortcloseupkt4.gif :^D

A beautiful and poignant tribute, Chris; the words from the song you shared are rather prophetic. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. Thanks for the listen; great tune. Design detail and colors are your usual incredible. Is that a 5:00 shadow..or did you draw it on? Cool, Chris!
