Description
Of all the places I visited, I think this was the most special.
This path leads to "The Grove Of the Patriarchs" in the very
southeast corner of Mt. Rainier National Park. It is a 1-1/2
mile hike to the grove and was truly magical place. The old
growth forests are really something to see. I have a couple
more pictures of this place and then that just about covers
it, as far as any photos worth posting. I sure do appreciate
your kind comments on my vacation shots. Thanks for
looking.... Maria

Oh the light! The light is what really does it for me. A bright days walk in the woods...with trees that huge...must be amazing! All the shadows being casted and what not. Just watch out for snakes....i tripped on a viper the other day and he sure got pissed at me. #:o/ Beautiful photo Maria. Have a wonderful day! #:O)

Beautiful capture! I use to dirt bike up in the Cascades at Trillium Lake, and this path looks so much like that area! :) Bravo!

I can't tell you how much I like this shot. So many times I come around a corner on a trail and see something that just gives me a special moment. It's really hard to capture something like that "on film," but this shot brings back the feeling. Also, by coincidence, I had just done a little research on this area last week! It's nice to "get a visual." Thanks Maria - your photos have been truly outstanding. Lori and I love them.

Beautiful photo, Maria. So many greens, all green, but all different. I actually remember this tree from when I was there. Thanks for sharing.
