Description
This critter flew into our kitchen a few nights ago attracted by the lights. I think she was looking for a date. She was about 3 inches long. Very delicate wings & body but packing a vicious set of pincers

I've seen the nymphs under some of the rocks out in the creek but never knew what exactly they were.

EEEEEEEEW!!! What a nasty looking creature! Awesome macro!!!! Just one thing...its a bit too big dont you think? I suggest you resize it so that we can see it without having to scroll....and by doing so, you would also get a photo of higher quality since the noise wouldnt be so visible. #:O)
