Description

Last night I was on line and keep hearing this rumbleing sound; then it came into my mind "that rolling thunder" lol I run outside and saw the sky light up time and again real fast. I run inside and got my camera and back out side. I had to hold my free hand over my camera so it would not get wet. Just a slow rain came down on me. I took 50 photos then I had to go back inside and upload onto my camera and change battery but then I noted the storm was moveing to far away to get any more shots. Out of 50 shots I just got one and this is it. I got 2 blue after the lighting flash. Now I know what those other people go thought to get shots of lighting. This looks like it hit the ground. Now you wonder why I put the title as is. I watch a show on tv one time and it showed a bottle of ozone and they put freon into it and the ozone was gone. This leave you to think freon is very bad. Then I watch another show and they put freon into a bottle that had ozone in and the ozone was gone but this show shot elecitic thought the bottle and the ozone was back. They show that elecitic put ozone back into the air. So this is nature way of puting ozone back into the air. Around all active volcanos there is a hole in the ozone. The seas of the earth produce more freon in one day than man ever used. Lighting put the ozone back into the air. This is how nature is. I read the Japan people is makeing a plane that is power by the sun and will fly above the clouds over the south pole and it will make lighting to put ozone back into the air there. The planes will never land. There is a big hole down there. They do not know how long that hole been there for they just find it a few years ago[ like 30 to 40 years ago I guess. That hole could have been there for 1000's of years] Oh and around big cities the ozone is thicker there. I do not know why. thanks for looking and comments

Interesting facts, well presented. I suspect you are right, too. The scientific evidence suggests to me that the 'hole in the ozone layer' probably has far more to do with globally active vulcanism and forest fires than with manmade pollutants. The possible exception may be the deforestation which occurred; however that, too, is reversible. We must remember, there is solid geological evidence that global warming has occured many times in our world's past, millions of years before homo sapiens walked this planet.
FIVE STARS for the beautiful photo and the insightful commentary.

Wow, super photo Jocko! The full sized version is sure worth viewing and I hope you were wearing rubber shoes, had dry feet, and were staying away from metal when you captured Mother Nature making her ozone!

http://www.thenewamerican.com/tna/1994/vo10no23.htm the chlorine in CFCs escapes into the atmosphere, rises into the stratosphere so the ozone is killed. not copy of what they say just my words. so chorine is use to make freon?? they say that chlorine is the reason for the ban. read it yourself.
