Description
This is straight out of carrara (apart from border etc). The floor texture is from a photo I took when I was in a guesthouse a few years ago in southern Indiana. People must think I'm crazy if they see me taking pictures of floors and walls.
The book model is by Alfons Blom I just tweaked it a little. The top three books are textures taken from scans of books my wife has laying around. The bottom book is the texture Alfons supplied with the model. I wasn't going to include it, but it's sucha nice little model, that I felt it only fair.
No lights in this scene. It's lit with an HDRI and GI Sky light and indirect lighting. Took about 3 minutes to render. I LOVE carrara.
Thanks for looking and please look at the full sized version to avoid distortions.

Way Cool. I'm always taking pictures to use as textures in art later, like walls, wood, dirt, grass water, rust, bark, carpet and others. I often wonder what people think when I'm standing with camera three inches from a wall or laying in the dirt with camera inches from a rock. But never whould I let it stop me.

Saw it while browsing the gallery and thought it was a photo! Superb realism.

Very very nice. Great textures, and you gotta love hdri! The worn edges of the bindings adds that little extra that makes this a wonderful pic.
