Description

Howzit everyone! Still dumping the HD, I've recovered about 9 gigs, and have many more to go. Man, I gotta get on this more often, and quite saving so many in Tif format, man they eat MB's. Most of all I gotta quit trying to save shots that I have many so many duplicates. Jeez what a pack rat! Enywho'sit..I found this sprig of orchids just off the beaten path behind some tree branches. It was partially hidden, so I don't think many people saw this bloom. I shot this with a 100-400 tele from about 15' as it was as close as I could get. This was the best of 5 shots. I think this is related to the spider orchid family, but hey what do I know? Many Mahalo's for your comments and critiques on my last posts..it really does help me see things from a different point of view...and that really is invaluable to me...Tolerate the rest of the week...Aloha!

Hey Dave! Those are some really cool-looking orchids.I love orchids but I've never seen ones like this...they are so skinny and 'spidery',lol. If they're not 'spider' orchids ,they certainly should be.But then my hawk was a Harris hawk and not a red-shouldered hawk,so who knows indeed, lol.Anyway, this is wonderful...and mysterious looking and I think it's amazing you haven't shared this with us before.I guess that's just because you have so many great shots you don't know what to do with them all!Mahalo my friend.Lovely work and hope you have a wonderful week,too.-M :^)
