Description

dusk at the Table Mountain in Cape Town/SA not my best image, but I just wanted to render this beautiful place, though I found only some DEMs with only few detail. I converted them (hgt files) with LandSerf to bmp files (8 bit). Adjusted heights in World Machine and then did a lot of painting in Photoshop. Removing noise and artifacts, reconstruct areas of missing data and so on. In World machine I added some Perlin and Erosion to give it more detail. Not very much though, cause I wanted to preserve the original shape aswell. Hope you like it. You can download the terrain from my website, download section, terrain "table mountain". Masterfully done, Jens. You always have the right touch. DEMs are hard to work with and the added detail is super while preserving the scale of the landforms. Lovely in all aspects.
