Description

When the TacDisplay was introduced to Amazon starships, Admiral Clarissa Nightingale was far from impressed. She referred to the device as the "psychedelic coffee-table" and more or less used it as such. When Mark II came along, it was a revelation. The original allowed a commander to plan an operation - nothing more. Once the plan changed, about three seconds into the average strike, the coffee-table was useless. Combined with an intelligent deployment of nano-drones, the Mark II delivers real-time updates on friendly and enemy movements, as well as the capture, or destruction, of objectives. Nightingale ordered a suite of six for her commandship. Each one has a trusted staff officer assigned and the Admiral tracks developments as they arise. The one thing she regrets: she doesn't get planetside much, any more.
