Description

Time: Summer of 1957 Place: Somewhere in rural America Setting: Mom and Pop have parked their new cars in the shed out back and gone in to start supper and catch 'I Love Lucy' along with virtually every other household that is fortunate enough to have a new black and white TV. Ah, now those really were the days. It may sound simple or even primitive to the younger crowd, but I tell you as an eye witness, that those times were indeed good old days. When 'Leave it to Beaver' WAS a reality show. Back when (almost) everyone did their part to make the world a better place - an attitude the world could sure use again. Done in Bryce with postwork in Photoshop. I built the Shed by framing it in Bryce primitives and the sides are rectangles. The light is made from primitives too.

Tell me, do they argue at night? (Fords & Chevies) Excellent job here BK. Love your approach; all made from primitives. Nice framing job, straight out of the remodeling days, eh? Great plank siding, too. As usual you leave out no details, such as the classic look of the humps and ruts in the drahvway. hehe! I agree about those golden times. I think back then even the bad guys would be considered naive by today's standards. Thanks for the ride back there, even for just a few, the visit is always refreshing and . . . nice.

You are correct about the '50s too. They were far from perfect, but except for the advances in civil rights for non-whites and women, they were far better times than the 21st Century is proving, so far, to be. I'd take them over the '80s, '90s, or '00s any day.
