I am a 30-year old American woman, married to a Portugese man, and we live happily together in Brussels, Belgium. My husband bought me my Canon IXUS 530 for Christmas three years ago, and thus a new hobby was born. Since then, I have also used a Fujifilm S9000, and received my first DSLR camera, a Canon EOS 40D for my 30th birthday.
I have a BA in World Religions and East Asian Studies. My other interests include crochet, role-playing, cats, language studies, poetry, cooking, collecting prayer beads, and so much more. I have found the Renderosity community to be a delightfully warm and helpful group of people. With your continued support, I am learning more every day. Please visit my online gallery (and leave a note in the guestbook so I know you dropped by): http://www.transientangel.net

Oooh! The composition is perfect in this one! The way you can see the building, and actually make out enough details in it, in the background is awesome. Perfect depth for sure. And such a pretty flower as well. Hmm...could this be a perfect subject for some selective coloring i wonder? #;o) Have a wonderful sunday Stefanie. Keep these beauties coming! #:O)

I think Andreas had a good idea for this one with selective coloring, but it could also be the time of day and the position of the sun? it could have been just to much light in that direction?? but the roses came out very clear & beautiful!!!! keep expiermenting, with different times of day & the direction of the sun...
