Description
Hello all;
I would very much appreciate it if you guys would take a look at this one and get back to me with any suggestions on how better to get aphotorealistic look and feel to this piece.
Funny the character is black but when exported / imported from Poser to Bryce she lost some of her African features and skin tone.
So now I call her English Girl.
Any tech feed back much appreciated

I don't know Bryce, but I have similar problems with Vue from time to time. For Portraits, I'd just stay with what Poser gives ya! ;) Lighting seems a bit to harsh! Lovely though!

super looking to me. But if you wish to darken her up the mat lab will do as you play with the colors and other stuff in there

Hey man this is awesome. If you going to photo real, consider the minute details like: the nose ring needs to be going into a pierced hole.(skin tones are revealing pores then why not dimpled hole), same for ears (ear rings that massive would be weighting down the piercing, blur out the line of tone differences on her neck. Of less consequence, I'd have her eyes looking downward slightly to give less a stock Vicki stare. Take my advice and throw in trash can if you like. This is better than anything I could do.

Very cool image. When it come photorealism, there are so many techniques. Unfortunately most I have seen are post and involve a lot hours work. I am also trying to find a quicker solution. Diffuse glow in PS CS work quite well to soften and add grain on most images. This can also make it look more illustrated but that's as much as I can help. Lighting in Bryce can also do a lot. I am also still learning. Like skiwillgee said. Attention to details can make a huge difference. Hope it helps! Nice one!!!!

Are you saying the ethnic morphing of the model was lost on export? I will have to investigate and get back to you on that. The textures, well that's where you can really change things..try looking in freebies and the net for skins! There are some really great free ones out there. When you import them into Bryce, make sure to play with the diffusion and ambience settings, the ambience can wash out textures in a hurry. Other than that, I think you are on the right track. Nice portrait!!
