Oh yeah, vultures are definitely not as easy on the eyes as most other birds, (at least from the neck, up), but you've managed to capture this one in a way that makes it appear more attractive than I recall one ever looking before! Beautiful photography Dani! Wonderful presentation too! May your day be every bit as excellent my friend! [Huge hug]

Vultures really are beautiful birds. They don't smell as nice as they look but I've always thought they were poetry in motion. They tend to look squat and boxy on the ground but in flight there are few birds as graceful and strong. Lovely capture and a rare opportunity to see one so close up.

Great Turkey Vulture. Common throughout the US. Spending a lot of time on the ground they have powerful legs. I've seen a demonstration of one keeping up with a person at a walk with a piece of meat strapped to their ankle. Like all vultures they have no feathers on their heads because they spend a lot of time with them inside rotting carcasses. From below they have white feathers on their wings forming a "T".

They are adorable, maybe less so to handle and care for. Great capture. The photo does them justice.
