Pavia - Italy - The Ticino River
This afternoon I was to do a trip to Pavia and I realized some shots..The town of Pavia is at about 100 kilometers from my town ..
The town of Pavia is located in Lombardy in the north of Italy near the confluence of the river Ticino with the river Po
Pavia combines the tranquillity of a provincial capital and residential center with good access to nearby cities, the sea, and the mountains (Milan is only 30 kms away -Turin is 150 Kms away - Genoa is 100 kms away, and the Alps are about 70 kms away).
The University of Pavia is one of the oldest in the world. An edict issued by King Lotarius quotes a higher education Institution at Pavia as already established in 825.

I have only been to Rome...and this is soooo not looking like Rome, LOL. Thank God! I will be honest...i didnt like Rome all that much, i thought it was too crowded. This town looks much more charming and i sure wouldnt mind visiting this place. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photo Kate. Have a wonderful day. #:O)
