The Sparrow's Nest was created in Carrara 5 usign custom textures as well as a lot of modified stock ones. Final render was done in Carrara 5 (about 30 times before I finally got it to not crash.) Deala is one of those extremely rare women with an incredible combination of beauty, intelligence and a ferocity in battle that makes her the most feared officer in the Dominion Fleet. Her dual role as commander of the Sparrowhawk class attack cruiser "Nightmare", and her larger role as commander of all of the Dominion Fleet's offensive units, keep her very busy. On this late and drizzly evening we see Deala standing next to her new Pantera class Agrav Skimmer. These vehicles use an advanced anti-gravity field to float on and over (skim) gravity waves. Skimmers are capable of incredible speeds and altitudes. In a pinch they can even be used as short range spacecraft. Behind Deala you see The Sparrow's Nest. This fascinating institution hold a special place in the hearts and minds of the crews of Dominion fleet vessels in general, and a very special place in those of the Sparrow class corvette and Sparrowhawk class Attack Cruisers. Originally opened during the early pre-Dominion days of the Imperial Relanese Space Corps as a place for offduty spacers to relax and let their hair down. It was originally named the Spacers Inn, it was renamed the Sparrow's Nest in honor of the first vessel to successfully carry out an attack on the enemy homeworld of the Nalannea. That vessel was none other than the Sparrowhawk Nightmare, commanded by then Captain Deala. It now serves the same function as before and is known throughout the dominion as the most casual and comforatable place for crews to spend offduty time while on Relanne. This took over a week to render due to issues I am having with Carrara and transparencies causing spontanious crashes to windows with no warnings or errors.
